We have a new challenge at 7 Dots Studio blog, with so inspiring theme - Sunrise - Sunset.
I decided to create a mixed media layout. It's about sunrise and new beginnings, which we have in every new day.
Today I'm going to show you this cute tiny altered box :)
It was pretty hard to work on such a small surface :), but I did it :)
I started from creating a texture. To do it I used Prima Stone Effect paste and Crackle paste by Finnbabair, next I added all embellishments, covered everything with a Black Gesso, dried and colored with Prima Color Bloom mists: Dragonfly Blue, Soft Teal and Frost. At the end I added e few touches with glass beads and glitter.
Did you missed me? :)
I was a pretty busy in 3 last days, just have created many different projects and tutorials. Most of them I can't show you yet, because they are for all my DT. But I can show this one - it's a mini album, which I made for custom order. It's for a newborn boy.
I created this sweetie from Prima's Heaven Sent 1 and 2 collections. These collections are so perfect for baby projects. And if you have also the journaling cards in both of sizes and a few packs of matching flowers, you really don't need anything more.
The second post today - sorry :)
Now it's mixed media layout, which I created for Scrap & Craft store. I used here a new collection by Laserowe LOVE and really liked to work with these papers. They are very heavy (perfect for mixed media) and have a beautiful designs.
I would like to share with this altered Vintage style hoop, which I created for 7 Dots Studio.
I picked an old photo of my grand-parents and decided to put it in some kind of Vintage style frame. My choice was a big embroidery hoop. I just stretched on the hoop a piece of old crochet map and got the vintage look as I meant.
I have a few new projects to share with you :)
Today I want to start with this one. It's an altered A4 photo frame, which I created for as inspiration for Scrap & Craft store. I used here a beautiful collection by Lemon Craft - Fresh Summer and Jullie Nutting doll stamp by Prima - Audrey.
Yes, it's me again :)
I have more creations than time to publish them :)
Now I want to share with you my mixed media project, which I created for Prima Marketing, and was published alone on Prima's blog :)
This is mixed media panel with motivational quote. I made this panel from heavy weight chipboard. I like to create this kind of projects.
More details and my little story you'll find on Prima's blog.
We have a new challenge at MMP blog! With truly amazing mood-board!
You just must to participate this month :)
And this is my inspiration for that challenge. It's a mixed media long panel. I began to like this format. The only drawback of this format, that you can't share the photo in a good way on social medias :)
If you want to read about the creative process, just go to the challenge post :)
Today I want to show you my latest layout. I created it as a GD at Words & Paintery blog. When I got their mood-board and the theme, I decided to make a layout with my favorite movie female character. Yes, I love Fantasy and strong girls :)
And to choose the Grunge style of my work I was helped by the challenge of another great blog - More Than Words
OMG, I have so many not published works :). All this takes a lot of time. Because after you create the project you have to publish it on all your social media (FB, Instagram...) And somehow I completely forget about the blog. Sorry :) I promise to myself to fix this :)
But now I would like to share with you this mixed media canvas, created for Prima Marketing, using amazing Finnabair products.
Today I would like to share with you this mixed media canvas, which I created using Prima Marketing products and Julie Nutting stamp. I have to tell you that these stamps are not my cup of tea :). But after trying, I feel in love :)
In this canvas beside the doll stamp I combined 2 beautiful collections: Salvage District and Rose Quartz.
Today I want to share with my new creation. It's a mixed media canvas, inspired by Finnabair style. But first I want to tell you a story. My big passion for mixed media began a few years ago, when I saw at first time some of Finnabair (Anna Dabrowska) works. I remember this moment, when I told to myself: "OMG! This woman is genius! I want to know how to create these amazing projects!"
From that moment I started to learn about materials and techniques. I bought a lot of mixed media products and just tried everything. And a few days ago I bought a big size canvas (20 x 50 cm), because I felt ready to try to create something like this, just for myself.
So in this post I want to thank to Anna, for being my biggest inspiration!
It's me again :)
Sorry for 3rd post today :). That's what happens when you create to many projects and forget to publish them in time :)
In this post I'm going to share with you my new inspiration project for Mixed Media Warriors DT. It's small, heart shaped wooden box, which I altered with mixed media techniques. I turned it to an old treasure box, found in forest :)
As you see, I added here a lot of textures, using Crackle paste, Stone Effect paste and Modeling paste. To color this box I used Prima Impasto acrylic paints.
I have a new video tutorial for you! It's a "Spells Book" :) - notebook with a mixed media cover, made from scratch, with hidden wire.
I created this project for Mixed Media Place store, using a lot of Finnabair amazing products. Just watch the video to see the whole process with my explanations.
I'm so excited! My first DT project for Prima was published yesterday!
It's an altered frame, which I created from 2 small canvases. I just detached the fabric coating from the frames and connected the frames together.
Next I applied some texture and added all elements, except the flowers. Then I covered everything with a Black Gesso. To color all construction I used only 3 Art Alchemy paints. They look stunning on a black surface. I choose the flowers in matched colors, but colored a little bit the edges with the same paints.
Today I'm going to show you this cute mini album, which I created from gorgeous Dreamscapes and Hazy Days collections by 7 Dots Studio.
The album size is 6 x 6.25" :).
I also filmed a step-by-step video tutorial. In a first part I show you how to prepare and embellishment the pages. In a second part you'll find how to connect all pages together and create a fabric coated cover.
How are you today?
I have a new creation to share with you :)
This time for Mixed Media Warriors challenge blog.
It's something about Art. Art means a lot for me. Creating Art makes me forget about the physical pains, this fills my life with a lot of light and energy. That's exactly what I wanted to express in this project :)
To create this I used: Crackle paste and Stone effect pastes for the texture. To embellishment - chipboard die cuts, IOD moulds and Prima's flowers. And to color this - Art Alchemy acrylic paints by Finnabair
I have something a little bit weird to share with :)
Meet my "Steampunk princess" :)
I created her for Mixed Media Place store, using Rust Effect pastes and Art Alchemy waxes. If you want to see a whole process, you welcome to watch my video tutorial :)
I don't have enough words to express how much I'm happy, excited and honored to join this most famous in the world design team!
It was my biggest dream since I started my journey in scrapbooking world. But only this year I felt confidently enough to try. And I never believed that I have any chance to be chosen :)
But here I am :), a part of the team, beside the all such amazingly talented people!
I feel now like I won a million dollars :), or even better :)
Go to the Prima's blog to see all the team
I have a new creation to share with you - altered hoop, with mixed media techniques, using Prima Marketing products. And I prepared a video tutorial for you.
I created this hoop to custom order for my very special client. She's order from me many things in last 3 years. This time she asked for something with her photos, to hang on the wall. So I proposed to make a canvas or hoop. She chose the hoop. Because she's always let me to decide about the design and gives me a permission to publish. I decided also to film a video tutorial :)
The supplies list you'll find in the movie description on YouTube :)
I just want to share with you this sweet giveaway from one of my good friends.
Anat is very talented artist, but still not well-known. So will be really nice if you could support her and start to follow her blog :)
Thank you in advance for your help!
I have some layout that I forgot to publish here :)
I created it for The MiNi Art - amazing chipboard die cuts and stencil manufacturer.
I really love fairy-tales, ski-fi movies and all magical things. My hubby always tell me that I can't grow up :) I'm not sure if this is good quality for the life, but it's definitely helps me with my creativity :)
So this layout is full of magic :) with a photo from one of my favorite movies - Avatar.
Today I would like to share with my new planner cover.
Maybe you know and maybe not, but in Israel a new year begin from September :). It means that now it's a good time to create a new planner for myself.
As in a previous years I bought a new planner in some store and created a new cover for this planner. Last year I put a dream-catcher on the cover and it works great, all my dreams for this year came true :)
So this time I decided to do the same :), the cover design includes a dream-catcher again :)
I have another cool challenge to invite you! At 7 Dots Studio blog.
The challenge theme is "My Hero".
When I saw this theme I immediately knew that I will create something as a gift to my amazing hubby.
We have a new challenge at Mixed Media Place blog.
Look at this amazing mood-board!
I was inspired by the quote, flowers and combination of gold and teal colors.
So I decided to create a layout about myself :)
I have one more project to share with you, for the same challenge by More Than Words :)
This time it's a mixed media project - altered arrow on framed canvas :)
When I saw the challenge theme, my first idea was why not to create something with a big arrow? But if I want to participate in the challenge the project format has to be layout, canvas or art-journal. So I left this idea and created a layout (yesterday). But today I found the way how to combine the big arrow (which I cut from heavy weight chipboard) and canvas :)
Today I have to share with my new layout. I created it as example for a challenge which I run in my Craft group on Facebook.
Yes, I have my own Craft group with 1111 members (cool number :))
I created this group a few years ego to help our craft community in Israel to progress and develop. And I think I can feel a little bit proud, because some of my students managed to achieve impressive results: win in challenges and get to international DT. SO from time to time beside the live classes, I create for my girls some interesting challenge. Current challenge about creating a layered layout. I prepared a video tutorial for my girls, so this time it's in Hebrew, but you still can put it on mute and read the titles in English.
Today I'm going to share with you my newest creation :)
I made this layout this night :)
I took my inspiration from amazing mood-board by Prima
Mix of red and blue colors it's not usually my choice. So it was a little bit challenged to try something new :)
I have to tell a few words about the photo. Some time ago I found on my Instagram an amazing photographer from Russia - Kristina Makeeva (https://www.instagram.com/hobopeeba/).
Her photos are so inspiring! So I asked from Kristina a permission to use some of her photos in my art works.
To create my layout, I used St. Tropez collection by Prima Marketing and a mix of different flowers from previous collections
Hello my dears!
Today I have to share with something more Romantic :)
It's a big wooden treble clef, which I altered using Mixed Media techniques, in Shabby Chic style. This is my monthly project for Mixed Media Warriors blog.
And don't forget about our challenge running there :)
I want to talk to you today about style. How really is important to create in your own style? What do you think?
I have thinking a lot about it. Because I'm not sure if I have my own style. I like to many different things: Shabby Chic, Steampunk, Grunge, colorful projects, monochromatic projects, Vintage and much more. I can't create all my projects in the same style. It makes me get bored :). One day I have a mood for bright colors and flowers, and day after it can change to Steampunk or Grunge :)
I would love to read what you think about it.
How are you?
After my vacation I feel like a new person, a full of inspiration to create every day, whole day :)
This layout I created for Scrap & Craft store, using amazing collection Lavender Morning by Studio 75. I have no idea where from this photo. I found it on some image stock. But there was something in that photo that inspired me to create. This project is very emotional for me, it's about a new plans for our future and my feelings about it - a mix of hope, excites and fears :)
Hello my dears!
Finally I'm at home after 2 weeks of amazing vacation in Canada. I'm in love with this place. Everything is so beautiful, clean and all people so nice and kindness. It's so different from Israel :)
But... Today I'm going to share with you 2 cards, which I created (before my vacation) for The MiNi Art DT. Beside these wonderful stencils and chipboard die cuts by The MiNi Art, I used a beautiful papers by 7 Dots Studio
Hello dears! Sharing my new project for Mixed Media Place.
Do you love fairy-tales? I do :)
So I decided to turn some simple shadow box to a magical enchanting project :)
And I prepared a step by step video tutorial for you. Hope it's clear enough and you'll like it :)
Anyway if you have some questions you welcome to ask me.
I have a new mixed media creation :)
It's a small canvas.
I think I don't have to describe the meaning of this work :)
For me stay true to myself in my life sometimes was really challenged, it cost me a few fake friends and some money. But here I'm, strong and happy :)
The background texture I've created with Finnabair Rust Effect pasts, Patina Effect pastes and Art Stones. And all coloring work was made with Art Alchemy Metallique paints and Art Alchemy waxes.
This time no layers, just texture and colors :)
Last week I've created a lot of projects. That's because I try to get to Prima DT. I have no idea if I have any chance, because there are so many amazingly talented people who going on the same thing :). But this is my biggest dream, so I must try. I believe in hard work and to be true to yourself, and I hope to get some luck from the sky :)
But actually I meant to tell you that now I don't have enough time to post all my projects here in blog :). You can find all of them on my Instagram.
But don't worry, I'll do it before my fly to Canada :). I'm going to visit my mom, for 2 weeks.
And about this layout - I've created it for Make It Prima June challenge.
As you can see, this is my special model again - my sweet Sonia :)
I've used here a new Prima's collection: St. Tropez. The papers, the flowers and most of embellishments came from this collection.
